You need to bring your guinea pig to the vet ASAP. Four years ago when our guinea pig Teddy Bear had a stone, the choice was to operate or let the stone eventually kill him. We operated on Teddy Bear, which he pulled through with flying colors. The vet also gave a discount rate because we could not afford the first quote. I call other vets to price the surgery. I might add even though Teddy Bear survived there were other problems that were not detected until a couple of months after surgery. Teddy Bear did live another year and a half. He died at age 4. We now have two guinea pigs for the past 2 years that came from the animal shelter and are already 5 years old. The best thing I can suggest is if you can afford it get the surgery and if not, don't let your guinea suffer have the vet look at Herbie, let them suggest what would be best for your guinea pig.
I hope I was some help to you and I wish you and Herbie the best.
