I am Petra, living since 2 years now in Switzerland. Tex, are you still there? Do you remember the mom of Leonie and the other heartbreakers? We have lost the contact:-( Over five years ago, we had the last piggie with stones and now again one, Viola will get in April 2 years old. She has a Bladderstone, we think it is a Struvit Stone, because under Vitamin C, for the surgery (an?sthetic), the stone looked suddenly "easier" so our Vet wanted to wait. Is anybody out there who treated his stonepiggie with Chinese herbs? Is the medicine "Eurologist " known in the USA? / jinqiancao, lygodii japonici, dianthi, semen abutiloni seu malvae, folium pyrrosia, semen plantaginis, talcum endithelium corneum gigeraiae galli, glycyrrhizae uralensis. /These herbs should be able to put away all kind of stones. Do you have experience with this? Is it possible and not dangerous? This is the HP, where you can buy the Eurologist, there is an englisch version too! Only must klick on the right flag. www.naturheilkunde-bei-tieren.de Please apologize my terrible English. Many years I have not written in this language! I`m sorry! I would be happy, if I can get answers. Thanks very much in advance To you and your little ones all the best! It is so hard to know what to give a piggie who has stones, but when our Sunshine had them, we tried Polycitra. Our pharmacy had to order it, but it arrived in a day or so. We've also heard of the use of Actigall (or Actigal?), which at the time was considered experimental. We're not sure what its status is now. Perhaps others who know more can comment on these medicines. Please do keep us posted on Viola. After Rachel had two surgeries for bladder stones we moved her onto Polycitra Syrup and additional water (a mixture in a Nyquil cap of baby food like carrot and peas), water, and only certain fresh vegetables. Based on that, and ONLY Oxboy hay and pellets, Rachel lived an additional two years with no additional bouts of bladder stones. You can email me directly at mhylton at rocketmail.com if you would like additional details. All the best with Viola. I have had him seen and he has another stone. I am frustrated because I just had one removed in October and here we are with another one!! Against my better judgment I listened to this new vet and didnt use the shillingtong to prevent another formation. We are currently treating Churbie with antibiotics and probiotics, and metacam for pain....until we can get him stable enough for removal of stone #3. This vet practice has never heard of the herb and says I can use it at my own risk. All I know is he used it after stone #1 and didnt have another till a year and a half later. They site that he was much younger then, and attribute this as to why the long space between stones. Churbie is 3 years old now and so far seems to be hanging in there. Bloodwork came back normal but urine came back bad (So they are treating with antibiotics) Anyone out there with thoughts and success with shilintong?
