We loved him so much he had so many pet names from Oreo, Snow Angel,
Huskie Himmie, L'Oreo, Seal Pup and LoLo. He was taken from us on
June 27, 2003, about 38 hours after his 3rd stone surgery.
He was like
a big brother to me, always looking after me. Although his life
was short lived, we spent a lot of time together because I was working
at home. I will never forget the first moment I laid eyes on him
and the first moment when we arrived home from the shelter. I savored
every moment of our first meeting. I promised him that I would love
him forever.
He was the
strongest minded guinea pig I have ever met. He was the wild man
of Borneo for the first 9 months. He ran in circles frantically
if you walked by him and escaped often. He used to bite often, maybe
he was in pain then too. His bladder problems started early, at
6 months old. Finally, he became very tame after his idol, his star,Truffles
(my other beautiful sheltie), passed away in May 2002. Oreo became
very depressed, so we adopted Sierra to be his friend. Oreo loved
Sierra very much. Oreo gave up the fight after Sierra had to be
put down on May 20, 2003. His stone came back shortly after.
All I can say
is that he was a very loving and caring boy. We loved to spend time
together, cuddling in each other's arms. I loved to kiss and snort
his sweet and creamy seal pup fur. He was such a couch potato. He
loved to watch TV and eat hay at the same time. I love everything
about him, his creaminess, short legs, red eyes, black nose, feet,
& ears, and his seal pup noise. I love the way he used to climb
up my pajama sleeves and come out of the other sleeve when he was
a baby. We were very close, we were family. I will always love him.
I am a better person because of knowing him.
Love you for
ever, your mom,
-Naylene
